Suraj Pratap Singh Shares Kanpur Summer Vacation Memories

Suraj Pratap Singh's Nostalgic Journey to Kanpur Childhood Summers

Television actor Suraj Pratap Singh, who portrays the character Prem in the popular show Divya Prem: Pyaar Aur Rahasya Ki Kahani, has opened up about his vibrant summer vacation memories from his hometown Kanpur. In a heartfelt revelation, the actor described how his childhood was filled with fun, mischief, and unforgettable adventures that shaped his personality.

Power Cuts Transformed into Nighttime Playgrounds

Sharing his most cherished summer vacation recollections, Suraj explained the unique charm of Kanpur summers. "Since I am from Kanpur, summer vacations were always special because we often experienced power cuts at night," he said. "I would actually wait eagerly for the electricity to go off because as soon as the lights went out around 7 or 8 in the evening, all the children from the neighborhood would come outside to play hide and seek."

The actor painted a vivid picture of those magical nights: "We had a huge group of friends and would run across different lanes, forming teams and hiding from each other. The games would continue until 10 or 11 at night, only ending when the electricity finally returned." This simple joy of turning inconvenience into opportunity became a defining feature of his childhood summers.

Mischievous Adventures and Kite-Flying Escapades

Suraj further delighted with amusing anecdotes from his more mischievous moments. "I also have a very funny summer vacation memory," he shared. "Once during summer break, there were widespread rumors in Kanpur about a mysterious creature called 'Machhua.' One night, I attached a light to my kite and started flying it from our terrace. People around my house became convinced that the 'Machhua' had landed on my terrace, but it was actually just me flying the illuminated kite."

The actor's playful nature sometimes led to unintended consequences. "Another time, while flying a kite, it got stuck in the electric wires on a pole," he confessed. "I kept pulling the string persistently for so long that the wire eventually broke, causing the electricity in the entire neighborhood to go off because of me. So yes, I was definitely that mischievous child, and honestly, I still enjoy being that way."

The Enduring Spirit of Childhood Joy

These memories highlight how Suraj Pratap Singh's formative years in Kanpur were characterized by creativity, community, and harmless mischief. The actor's stories demonstrate how children can transform ordinary situations—like power outages—into extraordinary adventures.
