Chrissy Teigen and John Legend's Youngest Children Start Family Band with New Drum Kit

Grammy-winning musician John Legend and his wife, model and author Chrissy Teigen, may soon have a new family band forming in their household. The celebrity couple's youngest children, daughter Esti Maxine, 3, and son Wren Alexander, 2, were recently seen playing with a brand new drum kit, sparking excitement about their musical potential.

Musical Mayhem in the Legend-Teigen Household

According to reports from People magazine, Teigen shared two Instagram Stories documenting the musical adventures of her youngest children. The initial clip captured 2-year-old Wren enthusiastically using drum sticks to create loud beats, while his famous father sat down to assemble the drum set for his kids. Three-year-old Esti was also pictured sitting beside her father as she explored different components of the instrument.

"What have we done," Teigen wrote across the video, appearing to reflect on the couple's decision to purchase the potentially noisy addition to their home. The humorous caption suggested the parents were already experiencing the consequences of introducing percussion instruments to their young children.

Family Musical Development Continues

A second video then showed both Esti and Wren using sticks to hit the cymbals while Legend seemed to be putting the finishing touches on the instrument setup. In a relatable parenting moment, Teigen turned the camera to herself and was seen covering her face with a blanket as she listened to the energetic performance from her children.

Wren and Esti are not the only Legend-Teigen children showing musical inclinations. The couple also shares daughter Luna Simone, 9, and son Miles Theodore, 7, who may also join the potential family band.

Luna's Singing Talent Revealed

Last month, Teigen revealed that Luna might be the singer among their four children. Speaking at the finale taping for Netflix's Star Search, the Lip Sync Battle co-host shared insights about her eldest daughter's musical interests.

"I think Luna's our singer. She has such a great stage presence. She really loves her school plays," Teigen explained during the event.

However, Teigen noted that Luna prefers to keep music as a fun activity rather than a serious pursuit. "But when it gets a little too serious, like when we were like, 'Should we enroll her in a real theater school?' She's like, 'No'. She steps back. She wants to do it for fun and really truly enjoys it," the proud mother added.

A Musical Household in the Making

The Legend-Teigen family appears to be cultivating a musical environment where all four children can explore their creative talents. With John Legend's established career as a Grammy-winning musician and singer, and Chrissy Teigen's experience in entertainment media, their children have unique exposure to the performing arts from an early age.

While it remains to be seen whether the children will pursue music professionally or simply enjoy it as a family activity, the recent drum kit addition suggests musical exploration will continue to be part of their household dynamics. The combination of Legend's musical expertise and Teigen's supportive parenting creates an environment where their children can naturally discover and develop their artistic interests.

As the family grows and each child explores different aspects of music and performance, observers may witness the gradual formation of what could become a genuinely talented family band, blending professional musical heritage with youthful enthusiasm and discovery.
