"We broke the shoot into three parts — real crocodile, animatronic crocodile, and VFX," Nambiar revealed. "Everyone told me not to shoot with a real crocodile. But I felt that even if I got one authentic shot, it would be worth it."
The production team took extensive safety precautions, working with four professional wranglers, a local safety team, and a carefully selected small crew. They began by filming the crocodile alone for half a shift to allow the animal to acclimate to the environment before introducing the actors to the set. Remarkably, the crocodile eventually became so comfortable with the wranglers that it almost behaved like a trained animal, with no aggressive incidents reported during the shoot.
