Crime Branch Identifies Weapons Supplier with Gang Connections
According to ANI reports, the Mumbai Crime Branch has made a crucial breakthrough by identifying Asaram Fasle as the individual who supplied the weapons used in the attack. Investigators revealed that Fasle has been associated with the Bishnoi gang for approximately four years, previously working as a garage mechanic before his criminal involvement. The investigation indicates that Fasle was influenced to join the gang by Shubham Lonkar, who is connected to the high-profile Baba Siddiqui murder case.
Police sources state that Fasle provided the weapons to Swapnil Sakat under instructions from Shubham Lonkar. These weapons were subsequently passed to an unidentified shooter, believed to be the perpetrator who fired outside Rohit Shetty's building. As of now, authorities have not made any arrests in connection with Fasle's involvement.
Five Suspects Detained in Connection with the Incident
On February 1, Mumbai police took five individuals into custody for questioning regarding the firing incident. The detained suspects have been identified as:
