Blast Day 2 Collection Registers 56 Percent Growth

According to Sacnilk, 'Blast' earned Rs 1.95 crore net in India on Day 2 from 1,889 shows. This marks a strong 56 percent increase compared to its opening day collection of Rs 1.25 crore. With these latest numbers, the film's total India net collection has climbed to Rs 3.20 crore, while the India gross stands at Rs 3.67 crore. The number of shows also increased from 1,728 on Day 1 to 1,889 on Day 2.

Tamil Version of 'Blast' Leads Overall Performance

The Tamil version collected Rs 1.60 crore net with an occupancy of 35 percent across 1,167 shows. The Telugu version added Rs 35 lakhs with an occupancy of 18 percent from 720 screenings. State-wise figures show Tamil Nadu leading with Rs 1.40 crore gross on Day 2, followed by Andhra Pradesh-Telangana with Rs 40 lakhs, while Karnataka and Kerala contributed smaller amounts.

Occupancy Trends for 'Blast' Show Strong Evening Rush

The Tamil 2D version recorded an overall occupancy of 39.60 percent on Day 2. Morning shows began at a lower 15.69 percent, but audience turnout improved significantly throughout the day. Afternoon occupancy stood at 36.08 percent, while evening and night shows reached 46.15 percent and 59.62 percent respectively.

'Blast' Cast and Action Blocks Gain Attention

Apart from Arjun Sarja playing Rajaraman, the film features Abhirami as Neelaveni, Preity Mukhundhan as Nila, and Arjun Chidambaram as Abraham. ETimes, in its review, stated, 'The best of Blast, though, lies in the little details. For instance, the biggest action twist in the film does not come from Arjun or Preity.' The review further added, 'From a stunning introduction fight sequence for Preity, the film has an action block every five to ten minutes.'
