Box Office Clash During Valentine's Weekend
Despite being in its fourth week, 'Border 2' managed to secure the second position on the list of highest-earning films at the box office over the Valentine's Day weekend. Reports indicate that with its collection of Rs 1.90 crore, it stood second only to 'O' Romeo', which earned an estimated Rs 12 crore on Saturday. Meanwhile, the film 'Tu Yaa Main' earned just around Rs 1.4 crore.
Gross and Worldwide Collections
The gross total collection of 'Border 2' now stands at an estimated Rs 382.25 crore. When including the Rs 56.25 crore from overseas collections, the film's current worldwide total collection reaches an estimated Rs 438.5 crore.
Comparison with Sunny Deol's Other Films
'Border 2' has become Sunny Deol's second highest-earning film to date. However, it was unable to surpass the box office collections of 'Gadar 2', which earned an estimated Rs 535.7 crore net at the box office and remains Sunny Deol's highest-earning film.
Film Background and Scope
Set against the backdrop of the India–Pakistan war of 1971, 'Border 2' serves as a multi-front war drama. It expands the scope of its predecessor by featuring the combined operations of the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy, offering a broader cinematic experience.
The film continues to draw attention in the entertainment industry, with updates on its performance and comparisons to other major releases shaping discussions among Bollywood enthusiasts and analysts alike.
