Chiranjeevi's Latest Film Achieves Major Box Office Success
Megastar Chiranjeevi's new movie 'Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu' is performing exceptionally well in theaters. The film opened to positive reviews and received a strong response from audiences right from the start. People are enjoying Chiranjeevi's powerful screen presence, high energy levels, and perfect comic timing. Many fans describe it as an ideal festival entertainer that delivers pure entertainment.
Strong Opening Despite Competition
The film managed to attract big crowds and generate strong numbers from day one. This happened even though it released alongside Prabhas' 'The Raja Saab'. According to box office tracking platform Sacnilk, 'Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu' had a powerful opening weekend. The film earned over Rs 65 crore worldwide on Sunday, including Saturday paid previews.
The momentum continued into Monday with only a small drop in collections. On Monday, the film collected Rs 19.50 crore net in India. After just two days, the total reported collection reached Rs 61.10 crore within India alone.
Crossing the Rs 100 Crore Milestone
As per a Hindustan Times report, the film performed remarkably well outside India too. On its opening day, it earned $2.3 million in overseas markets. After two days, the overseas collection crossed the $3 million mark. These impressive numbers show the film has landed strong collections both domestically and internationally.
Considering all these figures, the film appears to have crossed the Rs 100 crore milestone globally. This represents another significant achievement for the Telugu cinema veteran.
Second Biggest Opening for Chiranjeevi
Another important fact to note is that 'Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu' has become Chiranjeevi's second biggest opening ever. The film has crossed the opening numbers of his 2017 blockbuster 'Khaidi No. 150'. Only 'Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy' now stands ahead in terms of opening collections for the megastar.
Director and Cast Details
Renowned filmmaker Anil Ravipudi directed the movie. This marks another successful outing for the director, who also saw success with his last film 'Sankranthiki Vasthunam'. That film released during the same festival window last year.
'Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu' is a family entertainer starring Nayanthara as the female lead. The film also features an extended cameo by popular actor Daggubati Venkatesh, adding to its star power and appeal.
