Chiranjeevi Film Earns Rs 280 Cr Worldwide in 8 Days

Chiranjeevi's latest film Maha Shankara Varaprasad Garu continues its spectacular box office run. The action thriller has now crossed the Rs 280 crore mark in global earnings within just eight days of release.

Domestic Box Office Performance

In India, the film has collected approximately Rs 165.90 crore after eight days. This impressive total makes it the highest-grossing Sankranthi release this year.

The film's daily collections show an interesting pattern:

  • Day 1: Rs 32.25 crore (highest single day)
  • Day 2: Rs 18.75 crore
  • Day 3: Rs 19.50 crore
  • Day 4: Rs 22 crore
  • Day 5: Rs 19.50 crore
  • Day 6: Rs 18.90 crore
  • Day 7: Rs 17.65 crore
  • Day 8: Rs 8 crore

Notably, the film earned Rs 9.35 crore from paid previews before its official release. The unconventional Monday release strategy appears to have worked in the film's favor.

Comparison with Other Sankranthi Releases

Maha Shankara Varaprasad Garu has outperformed other major Sankranthi releases by a significant margin:

Prabhas' The Raja Saab has collected Rs 140.50 crore in 11 days despite a pan-India release across five languages. The Tamil release Parasakthi starring Sivakarthikeyan has managed only Rs 49.45 crore in 10 days.

Global Box Office Success

The film's worldwide performance has been equally impressive. Made on a budget of Rs 200 crore, the production recovered its costs within six days of release.

Overseas collections stand at approximately Rs 35.25 crore. In North America alone, the film has grossed $4.2 million, with $3 million coming from the United States market.

This makes Maha Shankara Varaprasad Garu Chiranjeevi's highest-grossing film in North America, surpassing his 2019 blockbuster Sye Raa Narsimha Reddy.

Producer Confirmation

Producer Shine Screens confirmed on social media platform X that the film had already earned Rs 261 crore worldwide in just six days. With two additional days of domestic collections, the total has comfortably crossed the Rs 285 crore mark.

Directed by Anil Ravipudi and starring Chiranjeevi alongside Nayanthara, the film has clearly emerged as the Sankranthi season winner. Its strong performance continues despite competition from other major releases.
