Dacoit Faces Steep Box Office Decline on Fourth Day
The action romantic drama Dacoit, starring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur, has experienced a significant downturn at the box office. On its fourth day of release, the film registered a sharp 57.8 percent decline in collections compared to Saturday's earnings, marking a challenging phase for the much-anticipated project.
Day 4 Collections and Occupancy Details
According to industry tracking platform Sacnilk, Dacoit collected Rs 2.70 crore net across India on Monday. This performance comes from a total of 4,345 shows, with overall occupancy dropping to a mere 8.5%. The film's India net total now stands at Rs 22.50 crore after four days of theatrical run.
The decline is particularly stark when compared to Day 3, when the film earned Rs 6.40 crore. The 57.8% drop highlights the film's struggle to maintain momentum beyond the opening weekend.
Language-Wise Performance Breakdown
The Telugu version of Dacoit continued to outperform the Hindi adaptation on Day 4. The Telugu shows collected Rs 2.10 crore with 7% occupancy, while the Hindi version managed only Rs 60 lakhs with 10% occupancy. Despite the higher occupancy percentage for Hindi shows, the Telugu version's absolute numbers remained significantly better.
Worldwide Box Office Update
Dacoit added Rs 60 lakhs from overseas markets on its fourth day, bringing the total overseas gross to Rs 12.25 crore. Combined with the India gross of Rs 26.24 crore, the film's worldwide collection now stands at Rs 38.49 crore after four days.
Mixed Audience Reviews and Reactions
The film has been receiving polarized responses from viewers across online platforms. One audience member shared, "I just watched Dacoit, and overall, it's a good film. The beginning feels a bit slow, but as the story progresses, it pulls you in emotionally. There are moments that genuinely make you feel and even tear up. Mrunal's performance in this film was also too good."
However, another critic expressed disappointment, stating, "Dacoit had such potential with its amazing cast! Sadly, the storyline and screenplay really missed the mark. It could've been a gripping revenge thriller with a romantic twist, but the makers chose a dull, repetitive plot. What a waste!"
