Critical Reception
ETimes review for 'Kara' praises the film's character development. Jayaram plays a regional bank manager hollowing out the system, while DSP Bharathan, played by an actor, is a cop chasing Karasaami for fame rather than justice. Kandhasaami, Karasaami's father, holds the emotional core. The film explores a Robin Hood angle where banks exploit illiterate villagers with paperwork. Kara starts stealing to repay his father's loan and reclaim land, but it morphs into a story of a region saddled by debt. The outlaw becomes a local legend.
