Dhurandhar's Record Run: Hits Rs 772 Cr, Eyes Pushpa 2 Milestone
Dhurandhar Box Office: Rs 772 Cr, Dominates New Releases

The cinematic juggernaut 'Dhurandhar' shows no signs of slowing down. Since its theatrical debut on December 5, the film has been on a relentless record-breaking spree, consistently overpowering every new release that has dared to challenge its dominance. As it completes a glorious month in cinemas, its eyes are now set on the ultimate prize.

A Fifth Weekend for the History Books

Directed by Aditya Dhar and starring a powerhouse ensemble including Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and R Madhavan, 'Dhurandhar' scripted further history in its fifth weekend. The film amassed an impressive Rs 33.25 crore over its fifth Friday, Saturday, and Sunday combined. This phenomenal performance came on the back of a massive Rs 106.5 crore total by the end of its fourth week.

The weekend breakdown is a testament to its enduring appeal. It kicked off the fifth Friday with a strong Rs 8.75 crore. On its 30th day, Saturday, collections surged to Rs 11.75 crore. The momentum peaked on Sunday, day 31, with earnings of Rs 12.75 crore. While Monday, day 32, started on a slower note with approximately Rs 0.62 crore till afternoon, the overall trajectory remains monumental.

The Unstoppable March Towards Rs 800 Crore

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the total domestic net collection of 'Dhurandhar' now stands at a staggering Rs 772.87 crore. This figure places it in an elite league, with its sights firmly set on the only record left to conquer: the monumental benchmark set by Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa 2: The Rule'.

'Pushpa 2' currently holds the record with a net domestic collection of Rs 1234.1 crore, of which a massive Rs 812.14 crore came from the Hindi market alone. 'Dhurandhar's' current trajectory suggests it is powerfully inching towards that historic Hindi market figure, making the race for the top spot the most thrilling box office narrative of the year.

New Releases Left in the Dust

The sheer dominance of 'Dhurandhar' is highlighted by the performance of films that released well after it. Srirram Raghavan's 'Ikkis', starring Agastya Nanda, managed only Rs 17 lakhs till afternoon on its fifth day (Monday), taking its total to a modest Rs 20.32 crore.

Similarly, the Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday-starrer romcom 'Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri' collected a mere Rs 6 lakhs on its 12th day (Monday). Its total India net collection now rests at Rs 32.11 crore. The stark contrast underscores 'Dhurandhar's' unparalleled hold over audiences, proving that compelling content, not just star power or release timing, drives sustained success.

As the film continues its record-breaking run, the entire industry watches with bated breath. The question is no longer if 'Dhurandhar' will break more records, but when it will finally overtake the 'Pushpa 2' milestone to claim the ultimate crown.
