Ranveer Singh's latest cinematic juggernaut, Dhurandhar, continues its spectacular run at the domestic box office, showing no signs of slowing down. The film, riding high on the festive Christmas wave, has not only boosted theatre footfall but has also achieved a significant milestone by surpassing the India collections of two major 2025 blockbusters.
Christmas Bonanza: A 44% Surge in Collections
According to data from the industry tracker Sacnilk, Dhurandhar added a robust ₹26 crore net to its kitty on its 21st day, which coincided with Christmas, December 25, 2025. This represented a substantial 44% growth from its previous day's earnings, directly attributed to the holiday season. The film's cumulative net collection in India now stands at an impressive ₹633.50 crore after three weeks.
Steady Run and Record-Breaking Journey
The Aditya Dhar-directed magnum opus opened strongly on December 5, 2025, collecting ₹28 crore net on its first day. It witnessed steady growth over the opening weekend, peaking at ₹43 crore on Day 3 (Sunday). After a first-week total of ₹207.25 crore net, the film saw a sharp surge in its second weekend, minting ₹53 crore on Day 9 and ₹58 crore on Day 10. It concluded its second week with a total of ₹253.25 crore net.
While Week 3 saw the expected weekday softening, the Christmas holiday provided a major boost. The film is now expected to cross the ₹650 crore net mark in India imminently. In a major achievement, Dhurandhar has now surpassed the India net collections of Vicky Kaushal's 'Chhaava' (₹601.54 crore) and Rishab Shetty's 'Kantara Chapter 1' (₹622.04 crore), establishing itself as one of the highest-grossing Indian films of the year.
Strong Audience Engagement on Day 21
The film's occupancy rate on December 25 reflected the festive enthusiasm. Dhurandhar recorded an overall occupancy of 46.50% across India. The day saw a steady start with 31.20% occupancy in morning shows, which jumped significantly to 62.48% during afternoon shows. Evening shows maintained strong momentum at 55.44%, before a slight dip to 36.86% for night shows.
