The blockbuster juggernaut of Ranveer Singh, Dhurandhar, has encountered a notable slowdown on its 22nd day in theatres. According to early estimates reported by industry tracker Sacnilk, the film minted approximately ₹15 crore on its third Friday. This marks a significant drop of nearly 42.31% from its Day 21 earnings and represents the film's lowest single-day collection so far.
Domestic March Towards ₹650 Crore
Despite the dip, the Aditya Dhar-directed spy thriller continues its historic run. The Day 22 figures have pushed the film's total domestic net collection to an impressive ₹648.50 crore. The movie is now tantalisingly close to breaching the ₹650 crore net mark in India, a milestone it was expected to cross by this day. This comes on the heels of the film's monumental global achievement of crossing the ₹1000 crore mark worldwide earlier in its run.
A Week-by-Week Performance Analysis
Dhurandhar opened robustly with ₹28 crore on its first day and maintained strong momentum through its opening weekend. It demonstrated remarkable holding power during weekdays, concluding its first week with a formidable total of ₹207.25 crore.
The film's performance soared even higher in its second week, buoyed by massive contributions on Day 9 (₹53 crore) and Day 10 (₹58 crore). Week 2 closed at ₹253.25 crore, registering a 22.20% growth over the opening week and cementing its status as 2025's top-grossing Hindi film.
The third week, however, has seen a natural slowdown. After a dip on Day 18, the film witnessed a brief revival on Day 21 with ₹26 crore before the Day 22 drop. The third week is estimated to have collected ₹173 crore, indicating a 31.69% decline from the previous week's stellar numbers.
Theatrical Occupancy and Screen Presence
On its third Friday, Dhurandhar recorded an overall occupancy rate of 28.20% across India. The footfall saw a steady climb through the day:
- Morning Shows: 14.74% occupancy
- Afternoon Shows: 32.19% occupancy
- Evening Shows: 34.90% occupancy (peak)
- Night Shows: 30.97% occupancy
The film continues to enjoy a dominant screen presence in major Hindi markets. The Delhi NCR region led with 1,083 shows, followed by Mumbai with 832 shows. Other key cities contributing significantly include Ahmedabad (461 shows), Pune (404 shows), Surat (305 shows), Bengaluru (291 shows), and Lucknow (195 shows). Markets like Hyderabad, Chandigarh, and Jaipur also continued their support with 140–180 shows each.
Looking Ahead: The Dhurandhar Phenomenon
Helmed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar features Ranveer Singh as an Indian spy infiltrating a Baloch gang in Pakistan's Lyari. The ensemble cast includes Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi. The film's monumental success has already greenlit a sequel, Dhurandhar 2, which is slated for release on March 19, 2026.
While the Day 22 collections indicate the expected tapering off as the film enters its fourth week, its overall box office journey remains nothing short of extraordinary. Having secured its place in the record books with the ₹1000 crore worldwide club entry, Dhurandhar is now focused on setting new benchmarks on the domestic front as it inches past the ₹650 crore net mark in India.
