Dhurandhar Hits 46-Day Mark with Lowest Collection Yet, Sequel Teaser Certified
Dhurandhar's Box Office Slump Continues on Day 46

Aditya Dhar's action thriller Dhurandhar has completed forty-six days in cinemas across India. The film experienced its weakest performance yet on this milestone day. Early estimates suggest Dhurandhar collected only about ₹1.40 crore on Day 46.

Box Office Journey: From Record Highs to Recent Lows

Dhurandhar opened with tremendous force on December 5, 2025. The first day brought in a solid ₹28 crore. The momentum continued through the opening weekends. The first Sunday saw collections jump to ₹43 crore. Surprisingly, the second Sunday performed even better with ₹58 crore.

By the end of the first week, the film had amassed ₹207.25 crore. Week two proved stronger still, adding ₹253.25 crore to the total. The decline began during the third week. Week three closed with ₹172 crore in earnings.

The drop became more pronounced in the following weeks. Week four collected ₹106.5 crore. Week five witnessed a sharp crash to just ₹51.25 crore. This represented a decline of over fifty percent from the previous week.

Recent Struggles at the Ticket Windows

Weeks six and seven marked the film's most challenging period. Week six managed only ₹26.35 crore. Daily collections repeatedly fell below the ₹5 crore mark during this phase.

Day 39 recorded a meager ₹2.35 crore. Day 43 dipped further to ₹1.75 crore. The lowest point arrived on Day 46 with those preliminary estimates of ₹1.40 crore.

Despite these recent struggles, Dhurandhar maintains impressive overall numbers. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film has collected ₹826 crore net in India. The worldwide gross stands at ₹1283.5 crore until Day 45.

The domestic gross in India reaches ₹989.9 crore. Overseas markets have contributed ₹293.6 crore to the total. These figures cement Dhurandhar's status as an All Time Blockbuster.

Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge Moves Forward

The Central Board of Film Certification took an important step for the sequel on January 19. The board certified the teaser for Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge. Sacnilk reports the teaser received an A certificate from the CBFC.

This teaser runs for one minute and forty-eight seconds. Bollywood fans will get their first look on the big screen. Makers plan to attach the teaser to theatrical prints of the upcoming film Border 2.

Cast and Story Details for the Sequel

Ranveer Singh will return as undercover Indian agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi, also known as Hamza. Director Aditya Dhar has confirmed the comeback of several key cast members.

  • Sanjay Dutt reprises his role as SP Chaudhary Aslam

Fans have expressed particular curiosity about Akshaye Khanna's involvement. According to Sacnilk, Khanna's role as Rehman Dakait will be limited in Dhurandhar 2. He will appear in important flashback scenes that explore his character's past and connections to the central conflict.

Arjun Rampal will play a more substantial role as Major Iqbal. The story will also focus on Bade Sahab, the mysterious criminal mastermind teased in the first film. The identity of the actor playing this villain remains a closely guarded secret.

Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge will arrive in cinemas on March 19.

Landmark OTT Deal Sealed

The makers of Dhurandhar have reportedly secured a significant digital rights agreement. Sacnilk indicates Netflix acquired digital rights for both films for ₹130 crore. This deal occurred even before the sequel's release.

Multiple media reports suggest the OTT release date for the first Dhurandhar film is set for January 30. This means the movie will become available for streaming less than two months after its theatrical debut.
