According to industry tracker AB George, the film's worldwide advance bookings have crossed the Rs 10 crore mark and are continuing to climb. In a post on social media, George stated, "Drishyam3 worldwide presales 10+ Crores & counting. Last week kathikkal begins today." If the current trend holds, the film is expected to post one of the biggest opening weekends for a Malayalam release in recent years.
Georgekutty returns with familiar faces
The upcoming film serves as the third installment in one of Indian cinema's most acclaimed thriller franchises. The narrative picks up the journey of Georgekutty and his family after the events of 'Drishyam' and 'Drishyam 2'. Alongside Mohanlal, the cast includes Meena, Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil, Siddique, Asha Sharath, Murali Gopy, and Veena Nandakumar.

Hindi version of 'Drishyam 3' set for October 2 release
The Hindi adaptation 'Drishyam 3' starring Ajay Devgn has also generated buzz. Producers Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak discussed the project recently. Speaking to ANI, Kumar Mangat Pathak said, "When the lockdown started, we watched a lot of Malayalam films. We realised that the content there is very good. Different types of films are being made and appreciated there." Abhishek Pathak confirmed the release window for the Hindi version, stating, "'Drishyam 3' will be released on October 2."
While the Hindi adaptation is targeting a later release, the Malayalam original is set to arrive in theatres worldwide on May 21. Fans eagerly await the next chapter in the gripping saga of Georgekutty.
