Drishyam 3 Slows in Second Week, Earns Rs 1.25 Crore Day 14

The Mohanlal-led suspense drama 'Drishyam 3' has started showing signs of slowing momentum during its second week in theatres. While the film has maintained a strong overall position, daily earnings have begun dropping steadily over the last few days.

Weekday Trend Affects Collections

The film entered its second week with stable numbers. However, the usual weekday trend has now started affecting its collections, leading to a gradual decline in daily earnings.

Day 14 Registers Another Decline

According to Sacnilk estimates, 'Drishyam 3' collected Rs 1.25 crore India net on Day 14. This latest figure represents a 19.4 percent drop compared to Day 13 earnings of Rs 1.55 crore. The film's India net collection now stands at Rs 101.70 crore, while the total India gross collection has reached Rs 118 crore.

Language-wise Breakdown

The Malayalam version contributed Rs 1.17 crore on Day 14. The Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada versions added comparatively smaller numbers to the total.

Occupancy Figures

Occupancy figures showed stronger evening and night attendance. The Malayalam version recorded an overall occupancy of 12.53 percent. Night shows registered the highest turnout with 16.83 percent occupancy, while morning shows witnessed lower audience numbers.

ETimes Review Questions Franchise Direction

The ETimes review for the film reads: "This third chapter often feels like a continuation driven more by the weight of a successful franchise than by an urgent storytelling need. And as the film leaves space for yet another sequel, another question emerges — how long can one crime continue to generate new narratives before the emotional impact begins to dilute itself? Perhaps that is where Drishyam now stands: not merely as a thriller franchise, but as a reflection of how cinema repeatedly reopens violence, guilt, and morality because audiences themselves are unable to let go of Georgekutty."
