Kartik Aaryan's Rom-Com Stalls at Rs 32.94 Cr, Earns Just Rs 19 Lakh on Day 15
Kartik Aaryan's Film Earns Only Rs 19 Lakh on Day 15

The festive Christmas release starring Bollywood heartthrobs Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday has failed to spark magic at the ticket windows. Their romantic comedy, 'Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri', directed by Sameer Vidwans, is witnessing a steep decline in its collections as it enters the latter half of its theatrical run.

Disappointing Box Office Figures for the Rom-Com

Despite the advantage of a holiday release on December 25, 2025, the film has been unable to capitalize on its initial buzz. The movie has been struggling to cross the significant Rs 33 crore mark domestically. The latest figures paint a grim picture for the producers. According to a detailed Sacnilk report, the film managed to scrape together only Rs 0.19 crore (Rs 19 lakh) on its third Thursday, which was its 15th day in cinemas. This meager earning has pushed the film's total India net collection to a modest Rs 32.94 crore.

How It Stacks Up Against Other Releases

The film's performance becomes even more stark when compared to other movies running in theatres. Another new release, the Agastya Nanda and Dharmendra-starrer war drama 'Ikkis', is also facing challenges but is faring slightly better. On its 8th day (second Thursday), 'Ikkis' collected Rs 1.35 crore, taking its total to Rs 25.60 crore.

However, the real box office juggernaut remains the espionage thriller 'Dhurandhar'. Demonstrating phenomenal staying power, it earned a whopping Rs 4.25 crore even on its 35th day. Its total India collection stands at a staggering Rs 790.25 crore, and it has secured the title of the highest-grossing Hindi film ever globally for a single-language release.

Behind the Scenes and Audience Reception

'Tu Meri Main Tera' marks the second collaboration between director Sameer Vidwans and Kartik Aaryan after their successful film 'Satyaprem Ki Katha'. The ensemble cast also includes veteran actors Jackie Shroff, Neena Gupta, and Tiku Talsania in key supporting roles. Unfortunately, the star power and creative team have not translated into box office success this time.

The film opened to mixed reactions from both audiences and critics, which likely hampered its word-of-mouth publicity and long-term sustainability in cinemas. The tepid collections from the first week itself set the tone, and the film has been earning only in lakhs since it stepped into its second week, failing to show any significant jump even over weekends.

This performance highlights the unpredictable nature of the box office, where big stars and holiday slots are no guarantee of success. The audience's mixed verdict has ultimately dictated the film's financial fate, leaving it far behind the blockbuster numbers of other contemporary releases.
