Kapil Sharma's 'Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2' Hits Lowest Single-Day Collection
KKPK 2 Box Office Day 6: Film Earns Just Rs 75 Lakh

The theatrical run of Kapil Sharma's latest comedy, 'Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2', has hit a new low. Directed by Anukalp Goswami, the film recorded its poorest single-day performance yet on its first Wednesday, signaling deepening troubles at the box office.

Sharp Decline in Daily Collections

According to early estimates from industry tracker Sacnilk, the film managed to collect only approximately Rs 75 lakh nett on its sixth day in theaters. This figure not only marks the lowest earning day for the sequel but also represents the second time in its opening week that collections have fallen below the crucial Rs 1 crore mark.

The film's financial journey began with an opening day collection of Rs 1.85 crore. It witnessed modest growth over the weekend, climbing to Rs 2.5 crore on Saturday and Rs 2.9 crore on Sunday, offering a glimmer of hope. However, a steep decline followed on Monday, with earnings crashing to Rs 90 lakh. A slight recovery was seen on Tuesday, with Rs 1.1 crore, before the bottom fell out on Wednesday.

With these numbers, the total net collection for 'Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2' after six days stands at an estimated Rs 10 crore.

Audience Occupancy and Global Figures

The low collections were reflected in sparse theater attendance. On Wednesday, the film registered an overall Hindi occupancy of just 17.12%. The day began weakly, with morning shows seeing only 6.70% occupancy. Footfall improved slightly as the day progressed, with evening shows reaching 19.13% and night shows recording the best turnout at 27.18%.

In terms of gross earnings, the film has accumulated around Rs 11.9 crore in India. Its overseas performance has been similarly quiet, adding roughly Rs 75 lakh to the kitty. This brings the worldwide total collection to approximately Rs 12.65 crore.

Kapil Sharma's Box Office Track Record and Future Competition

Despite the struggle, with its current Rs 10 crore net, 'Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2' has become the third-highest-grossing film in Kapil Sharma's career as a leading man. It is now very close to surpassing the lifetime collection of his film 'Firangi', which earned an estimated Rs 10.21 crore. His biggest commercial success remains the first 'Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon', which collected a robust Rs 49.98 crore.

The road ahead looks even more challenging for the comedy. The film is already facing stiff competition and is bracing for increased pressure with the imminent release of major films. James Cameron's 'Avatar: Fire and Ash' is poised to dominate screens, and the Christmas week will see another Bollywood release, 'Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri', starring Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday, further intensifying the battle for audience attention and box office revenue.
