Parasakthi Box Office Day 9: Collections Dip 45%

Actor Sivakarthikeyan's Telugu political drama Parasakthi continues its theatrical journey, but the film's box office momentum has slowed down significantly. The movie, which has been surrounded by various controversies, recently experienced a brief surge in earnings. However, this positive trend did not last long. The arrival of Jiiva's new Tamil film Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil in Tamil Nadu theaters has created a major challenge for Parasakthi's collections.

Parasakthi Controversies Explained

The film encountered trouble even before its official announcement due to issues surrounding its title. Later, its release remained uncertain as it awaited clearance from the censor board.

After finally releasing, Parasakthi initially faced overshadowing by the Tamil version of Prabhas' film The Raja Saab. More recently, the Tamil Nadu Youth Congress called for a ban on the film. They alleged historical inaccuracies in the portrayal of the Indian National Congress and former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, claiming they were shown in a negative light.
