Dhurandhar Crosses ₹1000 Cr Worldwide, Eyes Kalki 2898 AD Record
Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar Enters ₹1000 Crore Club

The box office landscape has witnessed a monumental shift as Ranveer Singh's latest cinematic spectacle, Dhurandhar, has officially entered the coveted ₹1000 crore club. The film, directed by Aditya Dhar of Uri: The Surgical Strike fame, achieved this staggering global milestone within just three weeks of its release, cementing its status as a 2025 super-hit.

A Historic Box Office Run

According to an official announcement from Jio Studios, Dhurandhar has amassed a colossal worldwide total of ₹1006.7 crore in its first 21 days. The domestic performance has been nothing short of phenomenal, with a net collection of ₹668.80 crore in India, translating to a gross figure of ₹789.18 crore. The overseas markets have contributed a robust ₹217.50 crore, showcasing the film's international appeal.

This remarkable feat means Dhurandhar has already surpassed the lifetime collections of other major hits like Animal, Chhaava, and Stree 2. It now stands shoulder-to-shoulder with all-time Indian blockbusters such as Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, KGF: Chapter 2, RRR, Jawan, and Pathaan.

On the Verge of Surpassing Kalki 2898 AD

The film's next target is clearly in sight. With its current trajectory, Dhurandhar is close to surpassing the lifetime global earnings of the sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD, which stands at approximately ₹1042.25 crore. The race to the top is intensifying, though it is noteworthy that independent industry tracker Sacnilk is yet to confirm the ₹1000 crore claim, currently estimating the film's worldwide total at around ₹980 crore.

As per Sacnilk's latest data, Dhurandhar's 21st-day India net is pegged at ₹633.50 crore, with a gross of ₹760.00 crore. Their global estimate is ₹980.00 crore, with overseas earnings at ₹220.00 crore.

The Team and The Road Ahead: Dhurandhar 2

Headlined by the powerhouse performer Ranveer Singh, Dhurandhar boasts an ensemble cast featuring Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi, Sara Arjun, and Manav Gohil. The film is presented by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, and produced by Aditya Dhar, Jyoti Deshpande, and Lokesh Dhar.

The excitement doesn't end here. The makers have officially confirmed that Dhurandhar is a two-part saga. The sequel, titled Dhurandhar 2, is already in the pipeline and scheduled for a massive pan-India release on March 19, 2026. The date strategically coincides with Eid, Gudi Padwa, and Ugadi festivities. Unlike the first part, the sequel will release simultaneously in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, aiming to capture a nationwide audience.

This announcement, made during a theatrical screening of the first film, has set the stage for the next chapter in what is rapidly becoming one of Bollywood's most successful franchises. The film's journey, marked by both record-breaking collections and some controversies like the dialogue row involving Sanjay Dutt that reached the Gujarat High Court, underscores its massive impact on the cultural and commercial fabric of Indian cinema.
