Sunburn Festival, Asia's largest electronic dance music (EDM) festival, has officially announced its 19th edition, set to take place in Pune, Maharashtra, from December 26 to 28, 2025. The festival promises an immersive experience with a lineup of globally renowned DJs and Indian electronic music artists performing across multiple stages.
New Location and Dates
After previous editions in Goa and other cities, Sunburn returns to Pune for the first time since 2019. The festival will be held at a sprawling venue on the outskirts of the city, offering enhanced infrastructure and facilities. Organizers have confirmed that the dates have been strategically chosen to attract both domestic and international tourists during the holiday season.
Lineup and Attractions
While the full artist lineup is yet to be revealed, early announcements include headliners such as Martin Garrix, David Guetta, and Afrojack, along with Indian acts like Nucleya, Lost Stories, and Ritviz. The festival will feature five stages, each dedicated to different genres of electronic music, including house, techno, trance, and bass. Additionally, there will be art installations, food courts offering diverse cuisines, and a dedicated camping zone for attendees.
Ticketing and VIP Experiences
Tickets for Sunburn Festival 2025 will go on sale starting March 1, 2025, via the official website and authorized partners. Early bird passes are priced at INR 3,999 for a single-day entry, while three-day passes start at INR 8,999. VIP packages, which include access to exclusive viewing areas, premium bars, and meet-and-greet opportunities with artists, are available at INR 15,999. Organizers have also introduced a super VIP experience with luxury accommodation and personalized concierge services.
Sustainability Initiatives
In line with global trends, the 19th edition will focus on sustainability. The festival will implement a zero-waste policy, use biodegradable materials for all packaging, and offset carbon emissions through tree plantation drives. Attendees are encouraged to carpool or use public transport, with shuttle services arranged from major points in Pune.
Safety and Security
Enhanced security measures will be in place, including mandatory bag checks, metal detectors, and a strict no-drugs policy. Medical teams will be stationed throughout the venue, and a dedicated help desk will assist with any issues. The festival also plans to introduce a mobile app for real-time updates, navigation, and emergency alerts.
