About Görel Hanser

Görel Hanser had been associated with ABBA since their early days in the music industry. Her professional journey began in 1969 when she started working at a music label company owned by Stig Anderson, ABBA's first manager. She later became Stig's secretary and gradually took on more responsibilities with the group.

Over the years, Hanser became ABBA's personal manager, handling press events, promotional activities, and many other aspects of the band's career. She was deeply involved in their work and was often referred to as the honorary 'fifth' member of ABBA.

The bond between Hanser and the band members was exceptionally strong. In 1979, when she turned 30, ABBA created a special song for her titled 'Sång Till Görel.' Although it was never publicly released, it was given to her and her friends as a birthday gift.

Görel Hanser's dedication and warmth left an indelible mark on ABBA and their fans. She will be deeply missed.
