Alice Kaushik & Kanwar Dhillon: 4-Year Relationship Survived Bigg Boss Controversy
Alice & Kanwar's 4-Year Love Story: Post-Bigg Boss Truth

Television actors Alice Kaushik and Kanwar Dhillon, who found love on the sets of the popular show 'Pandya Store', have successfully navigated a major public controversy in their relationship, which is now over four years strong. The couple recently opened up about the most challenging period they faced, which stemmed from an interview given by Dhillon while Kaushik was inside the Bigg Boss house over a year ago.

The Interview That Sparked Heartbreak

Recalling the difficult phase, Alice Kaushik explained that the controversy began when Kanwar Dhillon, in an interview, publicly stated that he had never told her he wanted to marry her. He clarified that he had only expressed a desire to marry someone like her. For Kaushik, who was participating in the high-pressure environment of Bigg Boss at the time, this felt like a public denial of their relationship and its serious intentions.

"Emotionally, it took a toll on me," Alice admitted. The incident was so hurtful that it led her to avoid giving interviews for nearly a year after exiting the show, simply to dodge questions on the subject. She was "gutted and shocked" upon seeing the interview, feeling that Dhillon had chosen not to speak the truth about their understanding.

Choosing Privacy Over Public Spats

Alice emphasized a crucial distinction in her mind. "There is a difference between keeping things private and lying in an interview," she stated. Given that their relationship had always been public, she believed in speaking her truth. However, her first instinct after the fallout was to protect Kanwar from the backlash and hate he was receiving.

This protective instinct is what kept her silent for so long. "I chose not to address it in any of the interviews after I came out because he was receiving hate," she revealed. It was only after much time and discussion that both reached a point where they felt she could openly share her perspective. "Now he, too, thinks that I should be able to speak my truth. We are in a good space. It took a while," Alice concluded.

Stronger Than Ever & In No Rush for Marriage

Despite the ups and downs, the couple has emerged stronger from the experience. When it comes to taking the next big step, they are both on the same page and in no hurry. Alice shared that she has always envisioned marrying later in life, and thankfully, Kanwar shares that sentiment.

"Not any time soon," she said regarding wedding plans. Their focus remains on nurturing their bond, which has weathered a very public storm, and enjoying the happy space they have worked hard to rebuild.
