Arunoday Singh Calls Out Society's Mindset

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Arunoday Singh spoke out against such behavior and stated that it should not be tolerated in society. The actor emphasized that the government, elders, and society as a whole need to take responsibility. "I think we have to take a very deep and hard look at ourselves as a society and a country now. Although I agree schooling and the rest of it, there also has to be somebody watching out for you. Government, society, and elders are supposed to not permit certain kinds of behavior. They are supposed to censor certain kinds of behavior. There are supposed to be laws and consequences, and I just find that it is like a wild west suddenly. I pray for the future," he said.

He further questioned how such behavior has become normalized in modern times. "How are we here now? How is this us? It just boggles my mind, and nobody does anything; it is like everything is permitted," he added.

What Was the Rs 370 Biryani Row?

The controversy began when web developer Himanshu Jangra appeared on comedian Pranit More's show and stated that he expected sexual favors from a woman he took on a date because he spent Rs 370 on her biryani. His remarks went viral on social media, angering many people. Himanshu eventually lost his job over the incident. Pranit also faced backlash for not stopping Himanshu and for laughing at his comments. Critics were further angered by reports that Pranit gave Himanshu a cash prize and shared the clip online. Pranit deleted his Instagram account after the backlash but later returned and posted an apology video for the incident on his show.
