Belle Delphine Death Hoax: Viral X Post Debunked After Twomad Photo Resurfaces
Belle Delphine Alive, Death Rumours False After Viral X Post

A wave of panic and confusion spread across social media this week after a viral post on X (formerly Twitter) falsely claimed that popular internet personality Belle Delphine had died. The alarming rumour, which sent fans into a frenzy, has been definitively debunked by fact-checkers and the platform itself.

How the False Death Rumour Started on X

The entire episode began on Monday, December 29, when an old photograph of Belle Delphine and fellow content creator Twomad started trending again. The image was shared by the X account @LostMemeArchive with a cryptic caption: “this did not age well at all.”

Shortly after, another user, @neo_jery, quote-posted the image and added a single, misleading line: “notice how everyone in this image is dead.” This statement triggered immediate concern, leading many users to believe that both individuals featured in the picture had passed away.

To correct the misinformation, X later added a Community Note to the post. The note clarified the facts: “While the poster is correct about the death of Twomad (on right), Belle Delphine (on left) is still alive and active to this day.”

Separating Fact from Fiction: The Truth About Belle Delphine and Twomad

The facts in this case are clear and verifiable. Twomad, whose real name was Muudea Sedik, died in February 2024 at the age of 23. He was found deceased in his Los Angeles apartment during a wellness check.

In stark contrast, Belle Delphine, born Mary-Belle Kirschner, is very much alive and continues to be active on social media. She has been posting content as recently as last week. No credible news outlet has reported her death, confirming the viral claim is entirely false and misleading.

The Story Behind the Viral 2022 Collaboration

The photograph at the centre of this storm is from a 2022 collaboration between the two internet figures. On June 23, 2022, Belle Delphine shared photos from a shoot with Twomad, where they dressed as the iconic duo Buzz Lightyear and Woody from Toy Story. The playful images were taken in a hotel room.

Belle Delphine, who first gained massive online fame in 2019 for selling her bathwater, captioned the post humorously: “Hosting the paralympics in a hotel room was weird…”

Twomad was primarily known for his gaming videos and comedy skits, making this collaboration a surprise to many of his followers. A second set of images from the same session later surfaced, showing Twomad as Donkey Kong and Belle Delphine as Princess Peach from the Mario franchise.

Following Twomad's tragic death earlier this year, these old collaborative photos have periodically resurfaced online, sometimes leading to misguided and false narratives about those involved.

Despite the brief storm of online rumours, the reality is that Belle Delphine remains an active creator, completely unaffected by the recent viral hoax. This incident serves as a stark reminder to verify information from social media before believing or sharing it.
