Zahara Drops 'Pitt' from Surname

Zahara and Brad Pitt have reportedly remained distant since Pitt's split from Angelina in 2016. Zahara famously enrolled in college with the name Zahara Marley Jolie. She was reportedly among the first of the six children to officially drop "Pitt" from her surname.

A video from the ceremony shows the announcer reading out Zahara's name as 'Zahara Marley Jolie' as she stepped onstage to receive her diploma. Angelina Jolie had adopted Zahara when she was seven months old, and Pitt later adopted her during his decade-long relationship with Jolie and their marriage. The former Hollywood couple were together from 2003 until their separation in 2016 and share six children.

Zahara is not the only child to publicly distance herself from Pitt in recent years. Their daughter Shiloh Jolie previously filed a legal petition to remove "Pitt" from her surname, while daughter Vivienne Jolie was credited as "Vivienne Jolie" during her involvement in the musical adaptation of The Outsiders.
