The Kharghar police have registered an FIR under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for voluntarily causing hurt during robbery and common intention. Assistant Police Inspector Pradip Avhad stated that CCTV footage from the vicinity shows the three robbers fleeing, but the images are unclear as the cameras lack night-vision capability.

“It appears the robbers had been monitoring the complainant’s movements and targeted him for the large booty. A special police team has been formed to gather technical evidence, and the informer network has been activated to identify the suspects,” said API Avhad.

The police are analyzing the footage and exploring other leads to apprehend the criminals. More, a local businessman, is recovering from his injuries.
