Case Against Man for Misbehaving With Character Artist

Hyderabad: A criminal case has been registered against a man for allegedly misbehaving with a 23-year-old character artist who had approached him for pending payment for a film role.

Incident Details

According to Banjara Hills police, the accused, identified as Prasad, helps actors secure roles in films. He had facilitated a role for the character artist in a movie last year. In February, he called her to collect her payment.

Police said Prasad was supposed to pay the actor ₹1.2 lakh after deducting his commission from the amount given by the producer. However, he allegedly delayed the payment repeatedly.

Allegations of Misbehavior

The artist alleged that when she went to meet him, he made her sit in his car and misbehaved with her.

Following her complaint a few days ago, Banjara Hills police registered a case against Prasad under charges related to outraging the modesty of a woman.

Investigation Underway

Police have recorded the survivor’s statement and summoned the accused for questioning.
