Chloe Cherry and Bella Thorne have joined forces for an exhilarating revenge film and are eager for the world to witness their collaboration. The two recently co-starred in the upcoming thriller titled 'Find Your Friends.' In a recent interview, the duo shared insights about the film, their intended audience, and their mutual passion for the horror genre.
Chloe Cherry and Bella Thorne Discuss 'Find Your Friends'
During a conversation with PEOPLE, Cherry and Thorne elaborated on the film's core themes and the messages they hope audiences will absorb. Cherry noted that the film draws from serious real-life incidents, stating it “shows the actual anger that the victims of r*pe and sexual assault feel — and rightfully so. They should feel those feelings.”
Thorne emphasized that she wants young men and boys to watch the film, aiming to counter the ideologies of the manosphere. She remarked, “I felt like we were starting to get somewhere with consent, and it feels like we're getting rifted right back, and so, hopefully, this gives people an interesting view and for young boys to see it in this nature, and hopefully understand it a bit more.” She added that the film delves into the gray area of consent and its true meaning.
The duo also discussed the challenging filming conditions, which required a month and a half of shooting in extremely cold weather. Despite the cold, the cast had to act as if it were scorching hot to align with the film's setting.
