Chitrangada Singh, who stars opposite Salman Khan in the upcoming war drama 'Maatrubhumi', has spoken out against longstanding rumors that the actor is difficult or unprofessional on set. In an interview with NDTV, she shared that her experience working with him was entirely positive, contradicting warnings she had received beforehand.
"People said a lot of things about Salman, like schedules would be stretched and he might not be on time. People used to say he is unprofessional, but he is amazing," Singh said. She praised his behavior on set, particularly his interactions with the crew. "He treats everyone with love, looks after others, and shows concern even for crew members. He was very approachable and has that amazing quality of noticing the least visible person on set, whether it is a lightman or the fourth AD. He would ask whether they had a break and their food on time, and how they were being treated. To still have that concern after so many years in the industry is amazing. People said he wouldn't come early, but he came early because I was shooting early."
'Maatrubhumi' is an upcoming war drama directed by Apoorva Lakhia, inspired by real events surrounding the Galwan Valley clash. The film is produced by Salma under the Salman Khan Films banner and stars Salman Khan as an Indian Army Colonel, with Chitrangada Singh playing his wife. The story aims to highlight bravery, sacrifice, and patriotism.
In addition to 'Maatrubhumi', Salman Khan is set to star in a film tentatively titled 'SVC63', directed by Vamshi Paidipally of 'Varisu' fame. The project, which has already commenced shooting with a muhurat ceremony in Mumbai, is described as a high-budget action entertainer. It marks the first collaboration between Salman Khan and Nayanthara, who plays the female lead. The film is reportedly targeting an Eid 2027 release, with filming expected to wrap by August or September this year.
