Actor-producer Dhananjaya has once again donned the hat of a lyricist for a special Mother's Day track titled Neene Beku Amma. The emotional song, composed by Navaneeth Sham and sung by Sanjith Hegde, carries deep personal significance for the actor, especially as he embarks on the journey of fatherhood.
Return to Lyric Writing
Speaking about the song, Dhananjaya revealed that he had almost given up writing lyrics after his work for Tagaru Palya, for which he penned all the songs. "I used to say the writer in me was dead. I was very busy and didn't think I would write again. But the team wanted a song celebrating mothers for Mother's Day," he shared. He admitted that the process became a personal challenge. "There was already a poem about my mother that I had narrated earlier, and people connected with it. This time, I wanted to create something fresh and emotional again. I think you can write a hundred songs about mothers and still not feel satisfied," he said.
A Personal Narration
In addition to writing the lyrics, Dhananjaya also recorded a special narration for the song video, which was released on Mother's Day. "When we narrate emotions ourselves, it feels different. I wanted to express my feelings personally," he explained. He added that Sanjith Hegde "gave life" to the song with his voice.
Newfound Appreciation for Motherhood
The actor shared that the track became even more meaningful after witnessing his wife's pregnancy and delivery journey up close. "That entire process made me realise why mothers are truly extraordinary. Seeing my wife go through everything gave me a completely new understanding of motherhood," he said.
Embracing Fatherhood
Speaking about embracing parenthood, Dhananjaya called it "an entirely new phase" in life. "With every child, a father is also born. It can be stressful at times, but it is a beautiful feeling," he concluded.
