British actor Peter Heppelthwaite, renowned for his roles in television series such as EastEnders, My Family, and Only Fools & Horses, has passed away at the age of 59. Alongside a photo of the actor, the agency described him as a “hugely gifted actor, director, teacher and mentor.” The post read: “We are heartbroken to share the sad news that our wonderful client and friend, Peter Heppelthwaite, passed away yesterday.” It further noted that the impact he left behind was far greater than his credit list, adding: “He brought humour, heart and complete commitment to everything he did, and he had that rare ability to make people feel seen, supported and better for having known him.”

She added that her father’s life was filled with passion and love, and that he was grateful for everything. “We are beyond lucky to have had Peter Heppelthwaite as our dad – please just share a story about him, something you will remember him for, something we can smile about,” she concluded.
