Pune: In the wake of a tragic incident involving one of its alumnae, Indira University has launched 'Indira Stree', a dedicated women's support and well-being initiative for all women associated with the institution. The initiative was established on Tuesday following the death of a former student in Bhopal, which is alleged to have been caused by dowry-related harassment.
Comprehensive Support Platform
Tarita Shankar, President of Indira University, Pune, and Chairperson and Chief Mentor of the Indira Group of Institutes, announced that the platform will offer a wide range of services. These include emotional support, mental health counselling, career guidance, mentorship, legal referral assistance, and emergency help.
