Jane Kaczmarek, best known for her role as Lois in the beloved sitcom 'Malcolm in the Middle,' recently opened up about reuniting with her on-screen family and watching her co-star Bryan Cranston's daughter, Taylor Dearden, shine in the acclaimed series 'The Pitt.' The actress confessed that she has known Dearden almost her entire life and feels a deep sense of pride in her accomplishments.

During the premiere of 'The Boroughs' at The Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles, the 70-year-old actress shared her heartfelt feelings about reuniting with the iconic cast of 'Malcolm in the Middle.' 'It's like really successful,' she said in an interview with People Magazine regarding the recent reboot. 'It was so long ago, and to see those kids again. Those children were the age Bryan and I were when we did it originally.' She elaborated, 'When we started Malcolm, I was pregnant with my second kid and Bryan's daughter Taylor, who's gone on to be a tremendous success, was 6. And now ... those kids are 40 and raising their children.' Kaczmarek expressed how amazing it was to reconnect with her on-screen family after so many years.

Speaking about Taylor Dearden, Kaczmarek revealed that she has known the 33-year-old actress since she was a child. It is extra special for her to witness Dearden become an extraordinary actress after watching the tremendous effort she put into her craft. 'She worked, she auditioned, she hoped something would happen, but she was raised well,' Kaczmarek said, adding that she felt as excited as if it were her own child achieving such success. As for Dearden, she was nominated for Best Supporting Performance in a New Scripted Series at the Film Independent Spirit Awards in 2026 and appears in the award-winning medical drama 'The Pitt.'
