Singer Jojo Siwa, known for her hit 'Karma,' recently took to Instagram to share a video showing her with a black eye patch. In the clip, she discussed her battle with a severe eye infection and a concussion sustained from a fall. The 23-year-old has been advised bed rest for the next three to four days but assured fans she will recover within the week.
Jojo Siwa's Eye Infection and Concussion Recovery
Jojo Siwa, whose real name is Joelle Joanie Siwa, opened up about the challenges she has faced recently. 'Things aren't going too well,' she said while sharing montages of her infections in the reel. 'Hopefully it's on the mend in the next few days.' Shaking her head, the reality TV star exclaimed, 'On top of this, I also have a concussion. I'm a mess.'
The Incident and Injuries
Describing the fall that led to her concussion on May 25, Siwa stated she had a terrible fall from a golf cart when the wheel locked and spun out of control. The impact was so severe that she landed on her neck and then hit her head. 'They think it's completely unrelated, but it's a gnarly eye infection,' she said about the infection that appeared a couple of days after the fall. 'I'm gonna be fine. It's just going to take a while,' she added after visiting three doctors for different causes. 'As unlucky as I am that it happened, I am very very lucky with how I came out of it.'
In her caption, she wrote a heartfelt note updating her situation: 'The patch I found after a few days to be a bit difficult with the concussion recovery so only wear it now if I need a complete light break!'

Amid her recovery, Siwa also celebrated one year of being in love with her boyfriend, Chris Hughes, sharing a romantic post on May 27, 2026.
