Mumbai: The Juhu Police have registered an FIR against three individuals for allegedly making derogatory and abusive comments on social media posts of BJP MLA and Mumbai party president Ameet Satam. The FIR was filed based on a complaint lodged by corporator Anish Makwani.
Details of the Incident
According to the complaint, Satam had posted videos on Instagram highlighting development work carried out in the city. Two social media users responded with derogatory and abusive remarks on the post. Additionally, an unknown person sent abusive text messages to Satam via WhatsApp.
Upon learning about the derogatory comments and texts, corporator Makwani approached the Juhu Police on May 30 to file a formal complaint. The police subsequently registered an FIR against the three accused under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology Act.

The Juhu Police have initiated an investigation into the matter. Authorities are working to identify the individuals behind the abusive comments and messages. The police have urged the public to refrain from making offensive remarks on social media platforms, warning that strict legal action will be taken against offenders.
