Anupam Kher received a special show of support in Delhi when cricket legends Kapil Dev and Madan Lal attended his play 'Jaane Pehchaane Anjaane' along with their wives, Romi and Annu. The veteran actor shared a photograph from the evening on Instagram and expressed gratitude to the former cricketers for watching the performance. He described their presence as a joyful and honorable moment and stated that their appreciation meant a great deal to him.

According to ANI, Anupam Kher posted the picture on Tuesday after the Delhi performance of 'Jaane Pehchaane Anjaane.' The image featured Kher alongside Kapil Dev, Madan Lal, Romi, and Annu, as they posed together after the show concluded.

Kher wrote, “THE GREATEST OF THEM ALL!! What a joy and honour it was to have two of my all-time favourite cricketers #KapilDev and #MadanLal come and watch the play along with their lovely wives Romi and Annu.”

He added, “These are the heroes we grew up cheering for… the legends who gave India some of its proudest moments. To receive their appreciation and kind words means truly a lot to me. Not only for your achievements on the field, but also for the wonderful human beings you are. Grateful.”

'Jaane Pehchaane Anjaane' Cast and Music Details

'Jaane Pehchaane Anjaane' stars Anupam Kher alongside actress Swaroop Sampat. The play has been written and directed by Gajendra Ahire. This musical production also marks the stage debut of veteran singer and composer Anu Malik.

Kausar Munir has penned the lyrics, while Shaan, Sukhwinder Singh, and Anandi have contributed vocals to the production. The play recently premiered at Mumbai's NCPA Tata Theatre before Kher brought it to Delhi.

The production has garnered praise from members of the film and theater community. Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit called Kher a “rockstar,” while actor Parvin Dabas described the play as “entertaining and emotional.”

Kher is currently promoting the play. He was also recently honored at the UK International Film Festival Flame Awards 2026, where he won the Best Supporting Actor award for his role in 'Calorie.'
