Klaudia Zakrzewska, a 32-year-old influencer known online as Klaudiaglam, has died following a serious crash outside a nightclub in central London. The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, April 19, near the Inca club on Argyll Street in Soho.
Details of the Incident
Police reported that Zakrzewska was struck by a car and rushed to the hospital, where she remained in critical condition for several days before passing away on Saturday. Following her death, the case was updated, and a woman, Gabrielle Precious Carrington, 29, has now been charged with murder. Initially, the charge was attempted murder.
The Metropolitan Police stated that the investigation is ongoing and urged the public not to share videos or speculate about the incident online. The crash also left others injured: a 58-year-old man suffered life-changing injuries, while a woman in her 30s sustained minor injuries. Authorities confirmed that the incident is not being treated as terror-related. Officers were first called to the scene around 4:30 am after reports that a black Mercedes had driven into pedestrians.
Suspect Charged
Gabrielle Precious Carrington, who once appeared on The X Factor in 2013 as part of the group Miss Dynamix, is now at the center of the case. She is also known online as RIELLEUK and has built a following on social media. Police say she faces multiple charges, including dangerous driving and driving while nearly twice over the legal alcohol limit.
Carrington appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court last Tuesday and was taken into custody. She is expected to appear at the Old Bailey on May 19.
Police Statement
Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell from the Metropolitan Police shared a message after Zakrzewska's death. She said, “We would like to express our deepest sympathies to Klaudia’s family and friends in light of this tragic update. Our thoughts are also with everyone impacted by this incident.”
She also asked people to stop spreading clips or making guesses online. “We recognise that this case has generated significant interest and discussion on social media; however, we would urge the public to refrain from further speculation,” she added.
Background on the Victim
Klaudia Zakrzewska, who had more than 250,000 Instagram followers, had posted videos from the nightclub just hours before the crash. Her family had earlier shared that she was in a coma and fighting for her life. In a message on a GoFundMe page, her mother said, “My daughter is currently in a coma and desperately fighting for her life. This is the most devastating time our family has ever faced.” The fundraiser has now raised nearly £18,000 to support her family.
The case continues to draw significant attention, and authorities urge the public to avoid speculation while the investigation proceeds.
