Lil Wayne is reportedly giving love another chance. The rapper, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr, is said to be engaged once again. According to a report from TMZ, the 43-year-old quietly proposed to a mystery woman earlier this year.
Neither Wayne nor his representatives have publicly confirmed the engagement. However, the report states that the woman is in her 20s and resides in Indiana.
This reported engagement follows a turbulent period in the Grammy winner's romantic and professional life. In April, Lil Wayne made headlines for speaking out about feeling overlooked by major music industry events such as the Grammys and Coachella.
On the personal front, his former on-again, off-again girlfriend, Denise Bidot, accused him of ending their relationship via text message on Mother's Day. In a social media post, she wrote, "Breaking up with someone on Mothers [sic] Day is diabolical. Prayers up though. God always pulls me through. Walking with faith."
In a video shared online, the plus-size model also accused the rapper of alleged emotional and physical abuse. She further claimed that he removed her and her daughter from their shared residence.
Before his relationship with Bidot, the 'Lollipop' hitmaker was engaged to model La'Tecia Thomas. The pair split in 2020. Wayne is also father to four children from previous relationships. He shares son Neal with singer Nivea, son Kameron with Lauren London, and son Dwayne Michael Carter III with radio host Sarah Vivan. He also shares daughter Reginae Carter with ex-wife Toya Johnson.
