Lucknow: Several students of Lucknow University took to social media on Saturday to commend the courage of a BSc final year student who exposed alleged misconduct by an assistant professor in the zoology department. Using the hashtag "SaveLU," the students demanded the termination of the professor's services.

BA LLB student Mahima Rawat posted on Facebook, lauding the girl for speaking up against someone in a position of power. BA student Aanshik Rastogi expressed solidarity across the campus, noting that such acts often go unreported due to fear.
Demands for Action
In a post on X, BEd student Kusum Kannaujia urged the administration to take responsibility for creating a safer academic space. On Instagram, BA student Priya Singh emphasized that strict action is necessary to maintain trust among students. Another BA LLB student, Soumya Singh, called for a mechanism for quick redressal of complaints without fear.
Vartika Kushwaha, on Facebook, said the university should ensure support systems so that "those suffering silently" can come forward without hesitation.
