Nagpur: Nagpur University (NU) is set to host a grand felicitation ceremony to honor the Padma Shri awardees from the Vidarbha region. The event will take place on June 28 at the Vasantrao Deshpande Hall in Civil Lines. The distinguished awardees to be felicitated include Shankar Baba Papalkar, Dr Chandrashekhar Meshram, Dr Ravindra Kolhe, Dr Smita Kolhe, Dr Vilas Dangre, Dr Parshuram Khune, Satyanarayan Nuwal, and Janardanpant Bothe.
Preparatory Meeting Led by Vice-Chancellor
Preparations for the ceremony were reviewed during a meeting chaired by Vice-Chancellor Dr Manali Kshirsagar. The meeting was attended by Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr Akhilesh Peshwe, Registrar Dr Raju Hivse, Finance and Accounts Officer Harish Paliwal, members of the felicitation committee, and officials from concerned departments.
Committee Formation for Ceremony Framework
Following a decision by the senate, a committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of Senate member Adv Manmohan Bajpai to prepare the framework and organize the ceremony. The committee members include Ajay Agrawal, Dr Rajesh Bhoyar, Vishnu Changde, Dr Yogesh Bhute, Dr Ajay Chavan, Dr Shrikant Bhovte, Dr Chandu Popatkar, Dinesh Sheram, Sunil Phudke, Rahul Hanwate, Director of Sports and Physical Education Dr Sambhaji Bhosale, and National Service Scheme Director Dr Sopandev Pise.
