David Dhawan's upcoming film 'Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai' has been generating significant buzz. Actor Rajesh Kumar, who attended the film's trailer premiere, opened up about how special the project is for him, all thanks to the late actor Satish Shah.
Rajesh Kumar's Emotional Revelation
Rajesh Kumar took to social media to share a video from the trailer launch event, revealing just how meaningful this film is to him. He fondly remembered his dear friend Satish Shah, disclosing that Shah was instrumental in his casting for the movie.
During the event, Kumar stated: 'When my casting was being discussed, there was a call from Mukesh Chhabra's office as well. I also spoke to David sir. David sir even waited for me to return to India—he waited for 25 days just to meet me. But there was this one man… that is why I say I will be very emotionally attached to this film. Because I consider it the last recommendation by Satish Shah. Satish ji was also David Dhawan's batchmate and a very close friend. David sir had asked Satish ji how Rajesh is as an actor, and he recommended my name.'
A Heartfelt Tribute
Kumar posted a photo with the caption: 'Moment we can’t forget great Satish Shah ji.. this film is his LAST RECOMMENDATION for me…we miss you kaka.. thanks @amitbhatia1509 for reminding me this #haijawanitohishqhonahai.' He concluded his emotional note by adding, 'wherever he is, I think he is blessing us with this great film that we are a part of.'
Rajesh Kumar and Satish Shah shared a long-standing bond, having co-starred as father and son in the popular TV sitcom 'Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai'.
