Rakhi Sawant Recalls Domestic Violence in Marriage

Rakhi Sawant, recently seen on the latest season of Bigg Boss Marathi, has always grabbed fans' attention with her bold statements. She appeared on a podcast with Hauterrfly, where she spoke about her personal and professional life. During the conversation, she recalled the time she was married and how she allegedly suffered domestic violence.

While she did not name the husband she was referring to, she described how abusive he was. Rakhi shared, "Sometimes I feel that this man was not even human. I used to make breakfast for him, lunch for him, dinner for him. I got his clothes ironed, did all the household chores. I introduced him to Salman bhai, introduced him to Bollywood, made videos for him, did everything. And he turned out to be such a big traitor."

She further added, "Yes, such people are found. Not in heaven, maybe devils come in such forms. Sometimes it feels that the people who come into your life, they come to teach you a lesson. Maybe this lesson was necessary for me so that I could progress ahead in life. Sometimes whatever happens, maybe it happens for good. But some people are so toxic that they seem like complete devils."

Referring to ex-husband Adil Khan Durrani, she said, "He was abusive, torturing. He used to poison the spirit so much that a girl would commit suicide. He used to say every day, 'Finish your life, when will you hang yourself?' He used to say such things. Sometimes I thought of finishing him off. Once he took me to a place. I thought he would push me from above and take over my property. I understood his intentions, so I ran away from there. I am saying this hundred percent, he was dangerous. He took Rs 3 crore from me."

The actress further said, "Today I am still in Mumbai only because I forgave those Rs 3 crore. I said, 'Okay, keep the money, just let me stay in Mumbai, in my film industry. Let me go to my mother's crematorium.' For three years, I could not come to Mumbai because he had filed false cases against me. He kept trying to get my bail canceled by bribing the court and police. Finally, I forgave all the money and said, 'Go, God will see you. I will live my new life.' I forgave all those people who did wrong to me."

For the uninformed, Rakhi Sawant has been married twice, and both marriages ended in separation. Her ex-husband is businessman and actor Adil Khan Durrani, while her first ex-husband is NRI businessman Ritesh Raj Singh.
