Rupali Ganguly, widely recognized for her portrayal of Anupamaa in the popular television show, recently urged people to recycle and redefine their clothes. Speaking at a fashion event, the actress emphasized that true fashion is not about acquiring new garments but about creatively styling existing pieces.
Rupali's Advice on Fashion Choices
The actress advised fans to reconsider their spending habits on celebrity-inspired outfits. She highlighted that many celebrity looks are the result of brand collaborations or are provided by production houses, rather than being personal purchases. Rupali cautioned against unnecessary spending to emulate these styles.
"I just want to say that no matter who you are, please don't spend money on celebrities. Because most of the clothes come in collabs or are given by the producer. Celebrities don't spend much. So, please don't go out of your pocket and spend. Recycle and redefine your clothes," she stated.
Rupali's Personal Fashion Philosophy
When asked about her own understanding of fashion, Rupali admitted, "To be honest, I have never paid attention to fashion. And I don't understand these things. Because the things that I like, others may not like them. There are so many good designers. So, you can see them on TV as well. I think the one who can carry off a saree well is the most fashionable. So, there are so many people from our channel who can carry off a saree well. There are many people from TV. For me, fashion is comfort."
She further elaborated, "Fashion is your mindset. It is what you want to say through your clothes. So, I will not say that this is not fashionable. But everyone wears a saree very well on TV. I think television should also be viewed from a different perspective. I said that I don't give much importance to fashion. You can wear whatever you like. There are so many talented people around you. There are stylists. I don't understand fashion."
Professional Update
On the professional front, Rupali continues to play the titular role in the popular show Anupamaa. She recently celebrated Indian colours, craft, and culture in a red lehenga, showcasing her personal style.
