Sara Ali Khan is in no hurry to tie the knot, even as many of her contemporaries have settled down. The actress, recently linked with a non-actor, is taking things at her own pace. In a candid interview, she spoke about choosing patience over societal pressure and prioritizing personal growth over finding a partner.
Sara Ali Khan on Marriage: Patience Over Pressure
In a conversation with News18, Sara said, "You are a product of your experiences and what you see around you. At the risk of being too serious, I've seen that marriages can also go wrong. So it's better to wait and marry the right person. And when that happens, that will be the correct time. I think that's the most important thing. I have what it takes to be okay without being married. I don't feel the need to be completed. I'm not looking to be completed."
Focus on Self-Growth and Career
Sara emphasized that she wants to be a complete human being within herself. She stated, "I want to be a complete human being within myself. And then if I find somebody to celebrate me, cherish me and make me feel even better, that's fine. Looking for this missing piece in you in somebody else isn't a sustainable thing. You shouldn't do that. And right now, I want to work. Meanwhile, if the right person has to come, they will. I really do believe that rushing things is the devil's work. So, I try not to rush these things."
Self-Reflection: A Green Flag
When asked if she could be a red flag to her partner, Sara confidently replied, "I think I can get into my own head sometimes. But that's internal; I don't think it will affect the other person. Other than that, I'm a green flag."
