Shakti Kapoor Denies Death Rumors, Says He Is Healthy

Veteran Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor has strongly denied viral false reports claiming that he had died. In a video message shared on social media, the actor assured fans that he is “healthy and happy” and announced that he will file a legal complaint against those who spread the rumor online. Kapoor urged people to stop sharing unverified posts, especially when they involve serious claims about someone’s death. His response came after fake death reports about him circulated on social media, causing widespread concern among his fans.

Shakti Kapoor Reacts to Fake Death Reports

In the video, Shakti Kapoor said, “Hello everyone, the news of my death is completely fake. I am healthy and happy. Please ignore it. I am going to complain about it. But this is not good. That’s not good.” The actor spoke directly to viewers and urged them to act with care online. He emphasized that false information spreads quickly and creates unnecessary panic. His message remained firm as he made it clear that the viral reports had no truth whatsoever.

Kapoor’s response also highlights a growing issue faced by public figures. Fake death posts often move rapidly across social media before families, teams, or the person concerned can respond. In this case, Kapoor chose to address the rumor himself and shut it down through a video statement, setting the record straight.

Raza Murad's Death Hoax Case

As reported by India Today, a similar incident took place last year with veteran actor Raza Murad. A social media post falsely claimed that Murad had died, and also alleged that despite his long film career, no one remembered him. Murad later filed a complaint at the Andheri Police Station. Speaking to ANI at the time, he addressed the false post and its impact. The incident drew attention to how damaging such rumors can be for actors and their families.

Shakti Kapoor's Illustrious Career

Shakti Kapoor remains one of Hindi cinema’s most recognized actors. He has worked in more than 700 films and is known for both comic and villainous roles. His popular films include ‘Raja Babu’, ‘Andaz Apna Apna’, ‘ChaalBaaz’, ‘Coolie No. 1’, ‘Judwaa’, ‘Satte Pe Satta’ and ‘Bol Radha Bol’. Kapoor was last seen in Mudassar Aziz’s ‘Mere Husband Ki Biwi’, starring Arjun Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh and Bhumi Pednekar. He also appeared in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’ with Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna.

His daughter Shraddha Kapoor continues to be among Bollywood’s popular actors. Kapoor had earlier said she does fewer films than some of her contemporaries because she charges more than them. His latest video clearly confirms that he is well and plans to take action against the rumor-mongers.
