Wedding Plans Disrupted by Health Emergency
In a sudden turn of events, Indian cricket star Smriti Mandhana's wedding plans were put on hold following a health emergency involving her father. Shrinivas Mandhana, father of the celebrated cricketer, was admitted to a hospital in Sangli on Sunday, November 23, after his health deteriorated unexpectedly.
Medical Crisis and Recovery
The health scare occurred during breakfast time when Shrinivas Mandhana's condition suddenly worsened. According to Smriti's manager Tuhin Mishra, the family initially waited hoping for improvement, but when his condition deteriorated further, they immediately called an ambulance and rushed him to the hospital.
Medical evaluations brought some relief to the anxious family. Doctors conducted an angiography which revealed no blockages, and by Monday morning, Shrinivas Mandhana was discharged from the hospital. The hospital management confirmed that his condition is now completely stable and he is out of danger.
Wedding Postponed Indefinitely
The health emergency occurred on the very day Smriti Mandhana was scheduled to marry musician-filmmaker Palaash Muchhal. Showing her deep commitment to family, Smriti immediately decided to postpone the wedding until her father makes a full recovery.
"Smriti is clear — she wants to see her father well and then get married," revealed her manager, emphasizing the cricketer's close bond with her father. Neither family has shared any information about a potential new wedding date as they prioritize health and recovery.
In another unexpected development, Palash Muchhal, the groom-to-be, was also briefly hospitalized in Mumbai due to a viral infection and severe acidity triggered by stress. Fortunately, his condition improved significantly, and he was discharged soon after admission.
The Mandhana family continues to focus on Shrinivas Mandhana's complete recovery while putting wedding celebrations on hold indefinitely.
