Sorab Bedi, who shared screen space with Sanchita in Dilwali Dulha Le Jayegi and had a close bond with her, spoke about the actress's untimely demise.
Sorab Bedi's Emotional Reaction
While talking to paparazzi, Sorab said, "I had just spoken to her two days ago, man." He also shared that he learned about Sanchita's death on the morning of June 15 and was preparing to visit her family. Sorab said, "I will go to her house now. I didn't know; I found out this morning." Sorab further shared that Sanchita had been feeling stressed and worried in recent days. He stated, "She was troubled, the poor thing." The Splitsvilla 16 fame actor also shared that he was deeply shocked by the news. He said, "For me, it's very shocking, man."
Their On-Screen Chemistry
For the uninitiated, Sorab Bedi and Sanchita Ugale worked together in Dilwali Dulha Le Jayegi and were paired opposite each other. They played the lead roles of Kartik and Sukoon. Viewers enjoyed their chemistry on screen, and the duo soon became one of the most loved pairs on the show.
AICWA Demands High-Level Inquiry
As per reports, All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) President Suresh Shyamlal Gupta has urged the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, to order a high-level inquiry into the death of Sanchita Ugale. An official statement shared by the Association read, "Her untimely departure has left her family shattered and the entire Indian film industry mourning the loss of a young talent whose memories will live on forever." "Every life is precious. The truth behind this tragic incident must come out, and the family of Sanchita Ugale deserves nothing less than a fair, impartial, and thorough investigation. AICWA urges the authorities to leave no stone unturned and to ensure that all aspects of this case are examined with complete transparency," they further shared.
Police Reports
According to police reports, Sanchita Ugale died by suicide at her residence in Sai Santoshi Building, in Nalasopara East, Mumbai. The unfortunate incident took place on June 14 between 7:00 pm and 7:30 pm.
