Remember Shah Rukh Khan's famous dialogue, 'Pyar dosti hai'? In the film, his character Rahul used those words to charm a girl, but the sentiment has resonated with romantics ever since. Now, 'Laila Majnu' star Tripti Dimri has echoed this idea, highlighting the importance of friendship in a relationship.
In an exclusive conversation, when asked about what makes a relationship last, Tripti replied, 'I think friendship is very essential.' She elaborated, 'I feel love as a feeling can fade after a point, but friendship and respect stay.'
The 'Dhadak 2' star emphasized the need for partners to support each other through difficult times. 'Life never goes in one line. There are ups and downs,' she said. 'So you can't just be there for the good times. You have to be equally there for the bad times.'
Tripti noted that this trait should come from both partners, but it is rare to find. 'All of that is very essential. Which is difficult to find,' she added.
Her comments came after Madhuri Dixit shared her own thoughts on lasting relationships. The 'Fame Game' star said, 'Mutual respect and taking pride in each other's wins are important.' She added, 'And being there for each other in your losses; that's the basic thing.' Madhuri also highlighted the importance of togetherness: 'You should always be together, and your goals should be to ensure that your kids or family around you are always taken care of.'
Tripti Dimri and Madhuri Dixit will soon be seen together in 'Maa Behen,' an upcoming OTT release. Directed by Suresh Triveni, the film is a black comedy thriller.
