William Daniels, the 99-year-old actor best known for his roles in Boy Meets World, Knight Rider, The Blue Lagoon, and other classics, has shared an unconventional love story rarely heard in Hollywood. His wife, Bonnie Bartlett, revealed in a recent interview that they once had an open marriage at the beginning, with no rules and no discussions.
William Daniels and Bonnie Bartlett's No-Pact Marriage
Bartlett had previously mentioned in her 2023 memoir that both of them had other partners at times. When the news became public, it sparked gasps and conversations among fans. Reflecting on their marital journey after 75 years, she said, "There was never any discussion as to what we were going to do, but in 75 years, the two of you together, you know, it would be abnormal if you … weren’t attracted occasionally to other people," during an interview with the Daily Mail.
She shared that the married couple never discussed the arrangements or made rules about how to live their lives together. "We never sit down and talk about these things. We just don’t. We just live our lives. And if he’s away for a year, he’s away for a year," the 96-year-old said, adding that they never went "unhinged" but certainly went in different directions.
